Ri2 - Riddle - Blocks

Now we need to set up our buttons by attaching when.Click blocks and blocks from the TextToSpeech and Player drawers.

Ri2.1 when.Click Joke and Punchline

A. Add a when.Click block to both the button that starts the joke and the button that delivers the punchline.

B. Then add a call.Speak statement to each of the when.Click blocks. Remember the call.Speak statements can be found in the TextToSpeech drawer.

C. Notice that the message socket is empty. You will want to attach an empty text argument to this part to hold the joke and the punchline.

Ri2.2 Add when.Click block to laugh button.

A. Add a when.Click for the laugh button.

B. Add a call.Start statement from the Player component to the when.Click block. This will start the laugh track when the button is clicked.

Notice: The image below has the title FridaySong, this is the title of the Player component. You should have renamed the Player component with a meaningful name in the Designer page.

Ri2.3 Test your app!

You should be able to a) play your joke, b) play your punchline, and then finally c) play the laugh track from three different buttons.
